How often should my lawn be mowed in New Orleans?
For most of the year, March through October, weekly. New Orleans grass grows year-round thanks to the climate, but it explodes in those months. From November through February, biweekly is usually plenty. We adjust to your yard, not the calendar.
What height do you cut St. Augustine grass?
3.5 to 4 inches. St. Augustine is the most common grass in New Orleans front yards, and it goes downhill fast if you scalp it. Taller blades shade the roots, hold moisture through summer heat, and choke out weeds. Cheap crews cut shorter because it means fewer visits, we cut at the right height for the grass to thrive.
What happens if it rains on my mowing day?
We text you by 7 AM if we’re pushing the route. Usually we shift to the next dry day in the same week. If it rains all week (it happens, this is Louisiana), we don’t double-charge for the catch-up visit.
Do you mow during hurricane season?
Yes, year-round. We do pause routes if there’s an active storm warning, and we offer pre-storm cleanup (clearing loose debris from the yard) and post-storm cleanup (downed limbs, scattered debris) as add-ons.
Is there a contract?
No. Cancel anytime with two weeks’ notice so we can reassign your slot. Most of our customers have been with us 3+ years, we don’t need contracts; we need to keep earning it.
How is mowing priced?
It depends on lot size, terrain, and what’s included (just mowing, or mowing + trimming + edging + blow-off). We walk your property, give you a flat weekly or biweekly rate in writing, and that’s the rate, no per-visit surprises. Estimates are always free.
